ABOUT EVENT
DATE: February 24th
TIME: 9 AM – 11 AM CT
How do we give investors and stakeholders a rolled up picture of all of the emissions made by the companies they invest in, or the products they buy, when so many supply chain partners are involved? It needs a standard way to exchange data between supply chain partners, to provide a rolled up number which is accurate enough and credible, while taking care of necessary security requirements, able to operate at the scale of a large company.
In our webinar, we will review developments so far to develop a standard with leaders from Chevron, Microsoft, and oil and gas standards body PIDX. We will also review what investors are looking for from oil and gas companies in terms of transparent data, including emissions from their supply chain partners.
Note: this is about emissions data exchange, not emissions data reporting. There are plenty of other initiatives looking for standard ways to gather and report emissions from a single business process. Our focus here is how this data should be rolled up.
