As the Downstream market continues to grow and evolve, expanding standards to meet the sector’s needs becomes increasingly important. Due to the widespread use of product family V, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel #2, the PIDX Downstream Committee has determined that the number of remaining codes in the V family is insufficient.

As a result, another product family needed to be identified to continue issuing codes for Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel #2. PIDX has determined that product family S will now be used in addition to product family V for this type of product. Users requesting a new code for Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel #2 will begin receiving codes starting with S.
